Our Team

Hillingdon Liberal Democrats is made up of three main groups of people, namely our candidates for Hillingdon Council, our candidates for the national government in Westminster, and the committee that keep the party going.

Local Government Candidates

Our country would fall apart without local governments, who are responsible for housing, local services like refuse collection and road maintenance, among other things.  Local councillors have to take on a variety of cases on behalf of their constituents, and the sad truth at the moment is that our local council is entirely filled with Conservatives, with no representation for any other parties despite significant support in the area.

As such, we want to change this, putting into place local councillors for Hillingdon that actually represent the electorate demographics in the constituency and fight for everyone's interests.

Parliamentary Candidates

The role of a Member of Parliament should be to represent the interests of their constituents at national level.  Clearly this is a major challenge for a single person representing a single party, but our candidates are prepared to rise to the challenge.  Essentially the role of an MP is to set laws nationally that better everyone locally, so it is vital to vote for a party which understands your interests.  The Liberal Democrats aim to understand and respect all backgrounds, and our candidates will listen if you want to raise a point with them to challenge their personal manifestos.

Our candidates at the moment are:

Committee

Our local party would fall apart without the committee keeping us pointed in the right direction.  They take on all the thankless administrative tasks that allow the party to carry on campaigning in the area, and hopefully will help our candidates get elected.  Our committee for 2023 is as follows:

And You?
