Boris Johnson Resigns
This evening Boris Johnson announced that he is stepping down as an MP after receiving an advanced copy of the privileges committee report into his actions during Covid 19 lockdowns. Presumably the recommendation was for a lengthy suspension that would have seen him kicked out of office, and he chose to jump before being pushed to save a little face.
Regardless of the reason, his resignation leaves a vacuum, and it's one we are eager to fill. Our candidate, Blaise Baquiche, will be stepping up to the task and bringing the fight to both the next Conservative candidate and the Labour opponent. If you would like to help out, there are a few ways you can assist:
- We're not yet in a restricted period for donations or spending. As such, you can feel free to help out by making a donation to our campaign. Anything you contribute now, we will spend on Blaise's campaign.
- Volunteer your time to help us deliver flyers, man stalls, call voters, anything to get the word out that we are here, we want to make a difference, and that difference should be Blaise.
- Spread the word to friends and family that might also want to donate money or time to our campaign. It doesn't matter if they're Uxbridge & South Ruislip residents - if they want to get involved, send a message and make a difference, we'd love to hear from them.
If you'd like to talk to Blaise, get in touch and we'll arrange a chat.
As a bonus, here's Blaise's campaign video.
