Good news for people living near the unauthorised building work at 121 Herlwyn Avenue - the planning inspector has TURNED DOWN the appeals and BACKED the council's and local residents' objections.

The key words in the inspector's report are "I dismiss the appeal and uphold the enforcement notice.". The three separate appeals were lodged after the council turned down planning permission and began enforcement work.

Local councillor Mike Cox paid tribute to Christine and Margaret - two local people who have been in the forefront of the campaign. "This result is a triumph for them and for the many local residents who have fought this most unsuitable development." said Mike.

The final stage is now enforcement action to have the bungalow restored to its proper form. Mike has promised to let residents know as soon as there is news on how the Council plan to ensure this is done.
