Hillingdon's Lib Dem Leader Mike Cox has called on people to spare a thought for their neighbours as snow and ice continues to plague the borough.

In an email sent out earlier, Mike said "If you can, why not call round (or phone?) and see how they are, or maybe drop in for a cup of tea? Just a kindly word will be very welcome by many people, especially if they are on their own."

Mike's email also warned people to take care as only the more important roads are gritted by the council, leaving smaller roads and pavements likely to become treacherous when the snow freezes.
