With temperatures plummeting and fuel prices still far too high Cllr Mike Cox has today called on everyone to call on their elderly friends, neighbours and relatives to check if they are OK.

Cllr Mike Cox said

"The elderly feel the cold more than anyone. I would call on everyone to check if the elderly neighbours, friends and relatives have enough heating to keep them warm through this cold spell. It is the sign of a civilised society that we look after the most vulnerable in the Community. Don't wait for other people to check, go round yourself."
